C’è una netta differenza tra la ELYROS così come ritratta appena arrivata dal Giappone, il 2 settembre 2007 a Perama, e come è entrata in servizio, qua vista il primo aprile 2010 a Pireo. Sembra quasi un’altra nave, tanto è radicale il rebuilding che l’ha coinvolta, che ha compreso anche interni di notevole qualità. Rebuilding che, si dice, sia stata una delle cause di incomprensione nel divorzio tra la compagnia di Chania e Grimaldi, che poi si è buttato su Minoan Lines.

PLASTIC SURGERY

There is a big difference between the ELYROS as she arrived from Japan, depicted in Perama on September 2nd, 2007, and as she entered service, depicted in Piraeus, April 1st, 2010. The rebuilding was radical and deep, and the refitted ship didn’t seem anymore the previous one, especially in the interiors, with high quality furnishing. Some rumours say that this radical work was one of the causes for the divorce between Anek Lines and Grimaldi, which later acquired Minoan Lines.
