TRIVIA / CURIOSITÀ

· In its last years we usually hear the “Naias” name associated with Agapitos Lines, having till
three ferries bearing that name, becoming a distinctive feature of the company
like the “Ionian” was for Strintzis Lines or the mythological names for Minoan
Lines. Anyway it wasn’t Agapitos which introduced this name, but it was “acquired”
from Kriton company, which owned two ferries under
that name: the original “Naias” and the “Naias II”, sold to Agapitos in 1989 and launching the “Naias” saga for this company. |
· Nella storia recente della Agapitos Lines ricorre spesso il
nome “Naias”, naiade,
comprendendo addirittura tre navi con tale nome e rendendolo come distintivo
della compagnia, quasi come i nomi mitologici per Minoan
Lines o lo “Ionian” di Strintzis Lines. Tuttavia non molti sanno che il “naias” deriva
dalla Kriton, che lo utilizza su due navi, la “Naias” originale, e la “Naias
II”, che dal 1989 appartiene agli Agapitos e lancia
questa tradizione. |
