The second ferry of Hiroshima Green Ferry came to Greece in 1977, bought by Epirus Line but never in service under that colours. Was then sold after a year to Anek Lines, which held the ship from 1978 to 1995, becoming one of ANEK’s hystorical ferries. Anyway ANEK decided to sell the ferry in 1996 to Agapitos Lines. The ferry, which was renamed “Super Naias” was considerably larger than all other Agapitos ferries but, even wiewing her greater possibilities, the company decided to strengthen its position on already known routes rather than competing on new links, rerouting the “Super Naias” on Piraeus – Paros – Naxos – Ios – Santorini line, calling sometimes at Syros and Anafi and also connecting once a week Piraeus with Amorgos and Astypalea via Syros, Paros, Naxos and smaller Eastern Cyclades. Her first period of service for Agapitos was characterized by some mechanical failures, which forced the engineering crew to frequent fixing works; it should be said that when the ferry was owned by ANEK hadn’t the intense use that is typical of Cycladic services.  Although very atypical for the service she was used on, being equipped by a large garage, huge lounges and a good number of cabins, the “Super Naias” was well appreciated on “Paronaxia” route, where nowadays no ferry could offer the same features. On February 4th, 1997, the ship had a small collision at Astypalea, damaging her bulbous bow; this probably happened due to a mechanical failure; The ferry was towed to Piraeus for repairs. Between the masters which were in charge on this ferry during her Agapitos period, we should remember the well known IsidorosSiderosMamidis. At the end of 1999 the ferry, which until that moment ran a very successful service, was sold to Minoan Flying Dolphins, entering their “Hellas Ferries” fleet as the “Express Aris”. She was then laid up in 2002 and sold for scrap in 2004.
