Line

Brindisi - Vlore

Launched as a Ro/Ro/ cargo ship, was converted to a passenger ferry in 1989, when Agoudimos Lines purchased her; it seems that was also lenghtened and reengined in 1991. Owned by Greeks since 1981, was first employed as a ro/ro both on Adriatic services and lines to Turkey, then to Cyclades, serving under the name “Alekos”. Until 1993 she served the Rafina – Andros – Tinos – Mykonos line and was Greek flagged; however then was flagged-out from Piraeus Registry and Maltese-flagged. That year she started linking Patras,  Igoumenitsa and Corfu to Brindisi; then on the shorter link Brindisi - Igoumenitsa. When the new “Penelope A” joined Agoudimos fleet, was diverted to ItalyAlbania lines, on BariDurres line from 2000 to March 2004 and on BrindisiVlore line since April 2004.
