Flagship
of Dane Sea Line, it seems that her interiors are very well designed, as well
as her running mate “Rodos”. From her arrival in Dane fleet is plying the
afternoon sailing to Rhodes, departing at 18.00 and then 17.00, opening also a
new link to Thessaloniki, calling also at Kos and Samos after the departure
from Rhodes. In October 2000, after her arrest, was the first DANE ship resumed
to service. Strong rumours were indicating the “Patmos” as the Swansea Cork
Ferries’s ship for 2002 season but the anglo-irish company decided to purchase
Patmos’s sister, the “Blue Aegean” to perform their services: a big pity,
considering that it would be very interesting to see these two sisters serving
Rhodes under DANE colours; however the Dodecanese service of the “Patmos” seem
to be close to the end: the ferry is moored since spring 2004 at Keratsini,
where she awaits some mechanical reparations which are not allowed by the poor
finances of Dane Sea Line.
